Bright Florals

Something a little more colourful this time as I’ve done a lot of muted or pastel patterns lately.

After watching several classes on Skillshare about creating patterns within procreate I started this with the intention of doing the whole thing just on my iPad, but while the method works I’ve found it doesn’t quite work for me personally.

I still prefer vector over raster images but I do like drawing on the iPad so I tried a couple of free vector apps but there was something about all of them that didn’t work as I wanted so I decided to give Illustrator for iPad another try.

I had trialled it months ago when I first got my iPad so I told myself I’ll give it until the end of the year to see if I think the subscription is worth it, I use an older version of Illustrator so do not pay any subscription fees otherwise it would be included with the latest version of the desktop app.

So after struggling in procreate to create this pattern I redrew it in Illustrator on the iPad then transferred it to my desktop to make the final pattern there, it worked so well I can see this being my prefered method going forward.
