Doodle Flowers & Petals

I try to draw at least something daily, even if it is only doodles, I do this for practice, and to help with my control, you don’t realise how much your shoulder is involved until it wont move properly, normally I will draw some large circles on some scrap paper first to try and get it more mobile.

This first pattern came from a random doodle done during one of these daily sessions. I just thought it was cute so had to make something with it.

Since taking Oksancia’s Magical Pattern Layout course I mentioned in a previous post I have been playing about with making my own layouts using her system, and used one for this.

But as well as making my own I wanted to use the layouts provided with the course for something, then I had a mini brainwave!

What if I could use my snowflake mandala template to make flowers? tried it out and it worked even better than I expected. Added them to the Magical Layouts and twelve new patterns were born.

I honestly can’t praise this layout system enough, saves so much time and understanding the principle means I can easily make my own layouts too.
