Spoonflower Updates

All my latest patterns are now available as fabric on Spoonflower, along with some colour variations like inverted versions of my monochrome florals and pastel versions of the small flower pattern.

To sell on Spoonflower you need to buy proofs, I try when possible to use the cheaters quilt which has 42 squares as it works out cheaper, this time I was one square short so I chose to use a pattern that I made ages ago but never got around to finalising because I wasn’t sure about it.

I could never put my finger on what was wrong with it in my eyes, I changed the colours a few times and even rebuilt the pattern from scratch, I feel like I just spent way too long trying to “fix” it when actually it was fine as it was.

Seeing it printed on the fabric sample made me realise I had been letting my perfectionism get in the way yet again, it’s an ongoing battle to not constantly tweak things, what is perfect anyway? surely even perfection is a subjective thing.

I have now gone from feeling unsure if I liked this pattern to loving it now I have it physically printed in front of me, this is one of the reasons I keep hold of unfinished projects because one day they might be just the thing I need.
