A Spring Update

There have been quite a few changes over the last year since I posted here.

I don’t want to go into personal details but everything had to be put aside for quite some time while I had other more important priorities. I still do not have as much time as I did before, family always comes first, but I am slowly getting back into creating things again.

At the start of the year I decided I would give myself some pretty simple easy goals to do in the first quarter, one of which was to refresh this site, another was to finish some patterns.

But as you can see it is already April and I am only now finishing the website.

That in itself has been a learning curve of WordPress full site editing, I started and stopped this about five times trying to get my head wrapped around it, but suddenly last week it just clicked and now it is done!

Patterns

My current work in progress is about 90% done, just need the final boring parts doing, exports and uploads.

I used ‘beach’ as my keyword for the general theme, I haven’t really worked like that before, it does seem to help with inspiration.

Sneak peek at two of my upcoming patterns

If this years ‘quarters’ end up as ‘thirds’ I don’t mind, I set the goal so I can move the goalpost if I need to.

Print-On-Demand

For now my main focus is probably going to be towards Spoonflower as far as print-on-demand goes.

Due to the tiered pricing changes at Society6, and the fact I was not really doing anything, I left it to them to pick the 10 designs for the free tier. Although I shall possibly swap some out for newer designs at some point.

I have closed my Zazzle store as well because it was neglected and I don’t have time to deal with it.

I feel like with my limited time less places to deal with will be better in the long term.
